In rare cases, Pixelmator Pro would quit unexpectedly with certain Type tool settings customized in the Touch Bar. The appearance of the View button in the toolbar has been updated. The selected appearance of the Info button in the toolbar has been updated to better match the look of macOS 11. Click on the Brushes Button in the Tool Options bar to open the Brushes Palette and select a suitable brush shape with a suitable size and hardness. When exporting images to JPEG or TIFF with CMYK color profiles, colors will now be preserved more accurately. The first thing we notice is that the Smudge Tool uses the standard Pixelmator brushes from the Brushes Palette. 
When editing the vector points of shapes, pressing the Escape key will now exit editing without unselecting the shape. Maximum brush size has been increased to 5000 pixels. More properties of ABR brushes are now supported, bringing much improved ABR brush import, including support for 16-bit brushes. You can even create your own collections. When exporting to PSD, you can now optimize for Apple pro apps like Final Cut Pro and Motion. Brushes collections: Clicking the gear icon in the Brushes Palette lets you choose from different collections with brushes. The rendering of effects has been significantly improved, too. Certain adjustment layers, such as Hue/Saturation, Exposure, and Channel Mixer will now be preserved when importing PSDs. Very large PSD files (in PSB format) are now also supported. Pixelmator features selection, painting, retouching, navigation, and color correction tools as well as layers-based image editing, GPU-powered image processing, color management, automation, and a transparent head-up display. Layered TIFFs with embedded PSDs will now be opened with layers in Pixelmator Pro. Pixelmator is a graphic editor developed for macOS by Lithuanian brothers Saulius and Aidas Dailide, and built upon a combination of open-source and macOS technologies. 
Many more advanced text features in PSD files are now supported in Pixelmator Pro, including symbol sizes and capitalization.Shape layers in PSD files will now be opened as shape layers in Pixelmator Pro.The PSD engine in Pixelmator Pro has been completely rewritten from the ground up, massively improving support for PSD files.

The update also improves support for ABR files (Photoshop brushes) and includes a few additional improvements and fixes. In Pixelmator Pro 2.1.3, the PSD engine, which handles support for Adobe Photoshop files, has been rewritten from the ground up, adding support for many new features in PSDs and greatly improving existing support.
